Please join us at the Golden Gate Park Senior Center on Saturday, June 4th for  Ocean Beach Master Plan Public Workshop #2.

The project team has been hard at work analyzing the impacts of different courses of action at Ocean Beach. You will have a chance to review several "test scenarios" and compare their outcomes in categories like ecology, infrastructure, and public access over a 100-year period. You can then work with us to assemble an approach that best serves the future of Ocean Beach.

The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) we have all been waiting for is beginning!   Mark your calendars for two important meetings:

 

VOLUNTEER MEETING

What:     Volunteer Meeting to talk about the upcoming EIR Scoping Session and to discuss Next Steps

When:    Sunday, February 13, 2011, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Where:  1243 42^nd Avenue, between Lincoln and Irving

Other:    Snacks welcome.  (And wear the socks without holes in them.)

v  Learn about the purpose of the EIR scoping session

v  Learn how can you most effectively testify, both in person and in writing

v  Have you just learned about this project, and are you worried about what is happening to Golden Gate Park?  Come and learn more about the impacts this project will have obn our parkland.  Learn about alternatives for this project.  Let's create a great grass soccer field and keep our park natural!

v  Discuss what next steps we can take, to make this a better project for Golden Gate Park!

Where: Golden Gate Park Senior Center, Fulton and 37^th Avenue

 

v  Come and make your voice be heard.  This is your opportunity to officially register your concerns about the future of Golden Gate Park.

v  Ask questions about the impacts of this project.

v  All comments will be included in the written EIR.

v  IT IS VITAL THAT EVERYONE ATTEND THIS MEETING!

PAR Support for Louis’ Restaurant

Ocean Beach Vision Council Meeting May 6 at 6:30pm

The Ocean Beach Vision Council will host a community meeting May 6th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Janet Pomeroy Center, 207 Skyline Drive, San Francisco 94132. The Center is behind the zoo – enter from Herbst Road.

There will be an update from DPW regarding the bluff erosion and on the status of the Ocean Beach Vision Council as well as discussion of public participation, environmental considerations, and longer term planning in the area.
