Town Hall meeting

Where: Golden Gate Park Senior Center, 6101 Fulton Street (37th Avenue and Fulton)
A proposal to add an additional weekend to the Outside Lands concert series starting in 2024 is pending now before the Board of Supervisors. The issue will on the Board’s September 6, 2023 calendar.
District One Supervisor Connie Chan asked SF Park Department officials and the concert promoters, Another Planet Entertainment, to conduct outreach in the communities most affected by the concerts. In response, the Planning Association for the Richmond (PAR) will hold a town hall meeting August 9, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. where neighbors can learn more about the proposal, and share their concerns, observations and ideas. This is an opportunity to weigh in before a decision is made about the proposal.
PAR has requested that the concert promoters and Park Department officials join us at the town hall prepared to share detailed information about proposed second weekend, including maps and specifics about the terms of the permit. And, more specifically, also be prepared to discuss issues, including the following:
• Street closures
• Hours of the concerts
• Specifics of parking restrictions
• After event transportation for attendees
• Adequacy of police services post event in residential areas
• Adequacy of current methods intended to mitigate concert impacts on surrounding neighborhoods
• Traffic congestion
• Trash
• Noise
