Chief Suhr is conducting a series of community meetings to present various less lethal options currently available to law enforcement. The Department has drafted a working policy for deployment of Energy Conducted Weapon’s (ECW). It is Chief Suhr's desire to equip members of the Department's Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) with ECWs. CIT officers have the most up-to-date training on de-escalating situations where the use-of-force may be needed and we believe that they will be the most judicious in the potential application of ECWs. Please join Chief Suhr along with esteemed members of the Police Commission, myself and the Captains and community members from Taraval and Ingleside districts on:
Tuesday, October 23rd, 6 pm, Scottish Rite Cultural Center , 2850 19th Avenue
Our next Community meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 6pm. It will be in the Community Room, here at Richmond Station, 461 6th Ave. (NOTE TIME CHANGE)
Richmond Station distributes an email newsletter every Friday. Our newsletter, which is sent to several hundred email addresses, contains information about recent crimes, arrests and upcoming events in the District. To be added to this list, please email us at SFPD.RICHMOND.STATION@SFGOV.ORG.
