SFMTA'S Strategies to Improve Conditions During and After Outside Lands this Weekend

Here’s an update on SFMTA’s strategies to improve conditions during and after Outside Lands this weekend:

·        SFMTA will increase the number of Parking Control Officers assigned to this event to direct traffic and enforce parking regulations from 15 to 25;

·        Three solo motorcycle officers will be assigned to the streets outside Golden Gate Park to assist in traffic control and enforcement;  

·        Post-event Muni buses on Fulton Street will be staged on the south side of Fulton Street between 30th and 25th avenues (rather than on Great Highway) so that the buses won’t have to pass through the crowds of pedestrians crossing Fulton Street before going into service; and 

·        Muni route NX (N Judah Express buses) will operate after Outside Lands to supplement regular N Judah rail service between the Sunset District and downtown.
