We wanted to notify you of a few upcoming items related to the San Francisco Transportation Plan (SFTP), the City’s 25-year plan to identify goals, needs, and investment priorities for our transportation system:
- San Francisco Transportation Plan Community Advisory Committee – next meeting Wednesday July 13, 2011. The next CAC meeting is July 13, 2011 from 6-8pm at Authority Offices, 100 Van Ness, 26th floor. Please save the date. The SFTP CAC advises Authority staff on all elements of the SFTP. We will send a detailed agenda at least 3 days in advance of the meeting, but expect this meeting will cover final findings of the Livability, Healthy Environment, Economic Competitiveness, and the State of Good Repair scenarios. We will also share the framework for the next phase of SFTP work to begin prioritizing potential projects. More information on the SFTP CAC is available on the SFTP website.
- Call for Projects for the SFTP and Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS)– Authority Board to Consider Screening Criteria and Advocacy Principles on May 24, 2011. We are nearing completion of the Call for Projects for the RTP/SCS process described at the April 13, 2011 SFTP CAC meeting. Since that meeting, we have sought recommendations of approval of Local Project Screening Criteria and Funding Principles to Support Regional RTP/SCS Advocacy at the Authority’s Citizens Advisory Committee (April 27) and Plans and Programs Committee (May 17). Final action is expected at the Authority’s Board meeting on May 24. You can view additional information on the process, and materials presented at the CAC and Plans and Programs Committee at our Call for Projects website page.
