Next Community/Police Forum April 20 at 1pm

The next Community/Police Forum will be held on April 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Richmond Recreation Center, which is located at 251 18th Avenue. The guest speaker will be a representative from the Department of Emergency Management. The speaker will answer questions about police and fire dispatching and emergency preparedness.

Geary BRT Meeting on Environmental Impact Thursday CANCELED

This meeting was canceled due to a lack of a quorum.  Meeting #10 of the Geary BRT Citizens Advisory Committee for the environmental impact analysis this Thursday, March 25. The meeting will begin at 6.00pm, and will be held at the Authority offices located at 100 Van Ness Avenue, 26th Floor. The agenda includes time for public comment. Meet Supervisor Mar -- Wednesday, March 24th, 7:30-10pm

The League of Young Voters presents...MEET YOUR MAR from 7:30pm - 10:00pm at Park Life (220 Clement @ 3rd) on Wednesday March 24th. FREE! There will be art, snacks, drinks, tunes, a bunch of fresh kids chillin...plus Eric Mar, chattin and getting schooled about his constituents (ie, you).

Great Highway Closure for Road Stabilization

Both southbound lanes of the Great Highway near Sloat Boulevard are closed. While construction takes place to protect the road from further erosion. Motorists will be routed east on Sloat toward Skyline. Generally, northbound lanes will remain open and the entire highway remains open north of Sloat most days. The northbound lanes are periodically closed as well. Be prepared to take alternative routes. Work is slated to be completed sometime in March. Related sites:
