The Department of Public Works (DPW) has reduced street sweeping (Mechanical Sweeping Program) on nealy all residential streets in the Richmond. The day of the week and the time of day of sweeping will not change, but instead the sweeper will visit residential streets only two days per month.
An example of how this works: If your sweeping day was every Tuesday, now your sweeping schedule might be the first and third Tuesday. If a month has five Tuesdays, you will go three weeks between sweepings.
Parking restriction signs have been changed to reflect the new schedule.

PAR is concerned about the impact of reduced sweeping on many areas in the Richmond. If you notice a problem or have questions or concerns about your particular location, send email to or contact Christine.Falvey@sfdpw.org and include the PAR President (raymondsnf@aol.com) on your comments.
